Hey friend,

Welcome to my little corner of the internet – sharing my travel journal for soft, slow travel as a sort of permission slip to rebel and live life on our own terms as neurospicy women.

I’m Kelly – late club AuADHD, passionate peer counsellor, mental health advocate, recovering workaholic, people‑pleasing, perimenopausal woman. I am also a devoted mum to two young adults, a sometimes loving wife (ha!), an accredited therapeutic yin yoga teacher, massage aficionado, dark chocolate lover, big belly laugher and soft travel lover. As an ex–travel agent of 10 years (woah did that career not suit AuADHD me!)and DIY yoga retreat nerd, I still love travel planning, finding the best deals & building unique, off‑season trips as my burnout antidote… my special interest, if you will.

This blog is my quiet resistance to fast‑paced hustle culture and “do it all” travel lifestyle.

Here you won’t find:

  • grind culture disguised as “living your best life”

  • bucket list bragging or perfectly polished Insta poses

  • itineraries that demand 20,000 steps a day, huge debt and a nervous breakdown

Instead, I hope you’ll find:

Slow, gentle & restorative travel stories

Dusty outback road trips, walking through wildflowers, floating in waterholes, dolphin spotting along wild beaches, wandering ancient streets in search of vintage wares, sitting in cafés listening to relaxed laughter and gossip in another language that makes us smile.

Soft, ND‑friendly itineraries & safety plans

Off‑season and shoulder‑season trips, my own travel formula for ensuring sensory‑friendly and relaxing travel to your dream destinations that won’t wipe you out, plus the practical bits: money, meds, healthcare access, insurance and stress‑free packing.

DIY wellness & everyday rituals

Yin yoga, massage, tiny practices that bring “retreat energy” into real life, and travel as a way to reconnect with your body, your nervous system and your sense of possibility. And of course, sharing my favourite yoga and healing practices discovered in my own itineraries.

Healing narratives & permission slips

Late diagnosis reflections, rest as rebellion, and gentle reminders that you’re allowed to build a life that fits your neurospicy brain and tender body.

Being NT‑based, I also hope that sharing our love of these ancient, sacred lands – from red dirt and ghost gums to waterholes and wild beaches – might plant small seeds of positive change and gently challenge the narrative about our community. A tiny movement. A soft rebellion through travel.

We’ll be wandering slowly and soulfully, sometimes in our cute vintage ’76 van “Morrison”, sometimes in cosy BnBs across the globe, exploring on foot through city back streets, always looking for:

  • real place vibes, not crowded bucket lists

  • cute cafés, vintage shops, hidden gardens and, of course, patting all the cats

  • glimmers of kindness and humanity that remind us our dreams of a better world are still possible

This space is an invitation and a permission slip:

  • to step off the conveyor belt of grind culture

  • to rest without guilt

  • to travel in ways that nurture your body and soul

  • to carve sacred moments into busy lives and reconnect with what actually matters

I share my growing resources partly for anyone who sees themselves in my story, in the hope of inspiring you to live your dream life – and partly as a place to keep my memories and share my adventures, to remind me of my own strength despite my spicy challenges. IYKYK.

“It only takes one voice, at the right pitch, to start an avalanche.”
– Dianna Hardy

This is mine. I’m glad you’re here.
